Fundada l’any 1992 per Nicole Rellum (vocal), Ralf Jesek (vocal, instructor) i Kai Kampmann (baix) a Karlsruhe, Alemanya, DERRIÈRE LE MIROIR va sorgir com un component destacat de l’escena independent més fosca dels anys noranta. El seu pop wave soul va guanyar reconeixement amb la demo “Simple Blue” que apareix a la llegendària sèrie “German Mystic Sounds” de la revista “Zillo”. Malgrat els contratemps del segell, van publicar quatre EPs aclamats durant una dècada i es van fer coneguts per clàssics com “Just Like You” i “Alibis”. Després d’una pausa, la banda es va reunir i va llançar un altre àlbum titulat “In Flux” el 2016. Ara, en el 30è aniversari del seu àlbum debut “Alibis”, DERRIÈRE LE MIROIR tornarà a agraciar l’escenari, recuperant la seva distintiva barreja de coldwave i electrowave.
